A seminar to discuss the Economics and Politics of Climate Change will be held at:

The Board of Education Centre, Devizes Road, Salisbury, SP2 9LY on 26 September 2008.

The seminar will be given by: Eliot Whittington (Climate Change Adviser with Christian Aid)

Green Business winners

On 15 February, annual business awards were made by the Salisbury and District Chamber of Commerce.

Fair Trade Fortnight – 25 February to 9 March

Fair Trade Fortnight begins next week!

Events organized by the local Fair Trade Group and some supermarkets:

28 February - “Fair Trade Goes Floral” at Waitrose (Churchill Way West
Salisbury).
29 February – Fair Trade Lunch, Salisbury Arts Centre (off Bedwyn Street) from 12.00 to 2.00 pm.

The main dish that day will be taken from Sarah Stancliffe’s new book, “A Book of Simple Feasts. Cooking for a crowd through the Christian Year” and she will be present to sign copies of her book. The recipes focus on inexpensive, plentiful ingredients in season, Fair Trade foods and locally sourced produce.

5 March – Farmers Market will also have some additional stalls of a Fair Trade or ethical nature.
