South Wiltshire Agenda 21 have produced a Resource Pack for Secondary Schools which is now available in all school libraries or resource centres. It is in the form of an A4 ring binder with a brief introduction on some of the important issues facing us today with ideas for action and local information and contact details.

Salisbury Freecycle

The Salisbury branch of Freecycle launched in April 2007.

Recycle the things you don’t want by giving them away to those that would benefit from them; so reducing waste going to landfill.  To join go to www.freecycle.org

Recycled Paper

Evolve recycled printing and copy paper is available to all voluntary organisations from CVS at £3.61 per ream. This is good quality paper and enables groups to use recycled paper without incurring postage costs.

Items for loan or hire from us

Two sets of display boards are available for loan to affiliated groups for meetings and events. One set of boards is free standing, the other is for a table top display.

A small marquee 6m X 4m which will withstand wind and rain can be hired for a small fee for events.

Plastic Bag Petition

Sign a petition at Green-England for a tax to be put on plastic bags in Britain. In Ireland where they have introduced this they have seen a massive drop in plastic bag usage by over 90%!
